Saturday was Austin's birthday. He, Nick and I all raced in the Racers and Chasers Balboa Park marathon mountain bike event.

We did the 4-mile course continuously for 3hours45minutes and covered 45 miles. "Nick the Greek" lapped us and I finished 90 seconds behind the birthday boy, "Austintacous."

Sunday, 13.5 of us met up for breakfast and 7 of the group drove out to Palm Springs, took the tram up to 8,500'and then hiked to the 10,800' summit on Mount San Jacinto.

It snowed lightly the whole time and we finished in the dark. A great weekend made even better with friends!
